Sortd offers three distinct date concepts designed to streamline your workflow.

This article explains each concept to help you use Sortd more effectively.

Deadlines

Deadlines are visible to the entire team who have access to the board and are marked with a flag icon. They serve as the final due date for tasks, ensuring everyone is aligned on key deliverables. Importantly, they do not appear in your personal inbox, keeping it clutter-free.

Deadlines are visible on your Date View:

My Day Plan

and The My Day Plan feature is private, visible only to you. It allows you to select tasks that you plan to tackle during the day, helping you manage your personal workflow. These selections remain invisible to the team

Additionally, you can use the My Day Plan date as a start date, providing a clear timeline when combined with a Deadline for each task.

Reminders

Reminders are designed to help you keep track of important follow-ups by sending notifications directly to your inbox at the specified times. Just so you know, these reminders are not listed within any Sortd section (they are similar to Google's Calendar notification); they only display within the associated task card if the email is added to the board.  You will only receive a reminder when the reminder occurs.
