While it's possible this is connected to Sortd, our past investigations have not found evidence to support that claim. We want to assure you that Sortd operates within Gmail's established limits, never exceeding the permitted volume.


It's worth noting that a Gmail user's account often runs multiple background tasks and interacts with various services simultaneously. This combined activity might occasionally push an account past Gmail's threshold.
