Custom Properties are one of the most powerful features within Sortd.

3. HOW DO I SET UP A CUSTOM PROPERTY?
To get started, open any task or card on your board and follow the steps below:
Step 1. Select 'Add a property'
Step 2. Give the property a name and select the type of custom field that you would like to add:
Step 3. Clicking away from this pop-up will add this field
Step 4. To add data, simply click on the field like you would on any other field in Sortd.
Congratulations! You have set up your custom property.
3. HOW DO I EDIT AN EXITING CUSTOM PROPERTY?
Click the drop-down on the right-hand side and select Property Settings
4. HOW DO I ADD COLOR TO CUSTOM PROPERTIES?
Custom Properties of type Status, Tags, Dropdown and Multi-select provide colour options. You can find the options by clicking on the icon as shown below:
Status fields have bold indicators as shown with the done indicator below. Tags are semi-transparent as shown on the #Tag field, Multi-selects are outlined as shown on Industry 1 and Dropdowns are text-only as shown on Option 1.
5. IMPORTANT NOTES
Custom Properties only apply to the cards and tasks on the current board where they are created. This allows for different sets of Custom Properties on different team boards e.g. Sales board, Finance board or Operations boards.
