QUICK START
Make sure you are on a Team board (* custom fields don't work on the Personal board), open any task or email, then follow these steps...
1. Click to add a property | 2. Give it a title and type, and you're done!
Once properties are added, they'll be available on all the cards on the current board.

Custom Properties are one of the most powerful features within Sortd.
Here is a visual example of how you can customize Sortd with custom properties.

3. HOW DO I SET UP A CUSTOM PROPERTY?
To get started, open any task or card on your board and follow the steps below:
Step 1. Select 'Add a property'
Step 2. Give the property a name and select the type of custom field that you would like to add:
Note: Only properties of type Status and Tag can be displayed on the front of the card.
Step 3. Clicking away from this pop-up will add this field
Step 4. To add data, simply click on the field like you would on any other field in Sortd.
Congratulations! You have set up your custom property.
4. HOW DO I EDIT AN EXISTING CUSTOM PROPERTY?
Click the drop-down on the right-hand side and select Property Settings
4. HOW DO I DISPLAY CUSTOM PROPERTIES, TAGS, AND STATUSES ON THE FRONT OF A CARD?
Click the drop-down on the right-hand side and select Property Settings.
Then check the box to display the item on the front of the card.
This is what the status and tags will look like on your lists -
4. HOW DO I ADD COLOR TO CUSTOM PROPERTIES?
Custom Properties of type Status, Tags, Dropdown and Multi-select provide color options. You can find the options by clicking on the icon as shown below:
Status fields have bold indicators as shown with the done indicator below. Tags are semi-transparent as shown on the #Tag field, Multi-selects are outlined as shown on Industry 1 and Drop downs are text-only as shown on Option 1.
5. IMPORTANT NOTES
Custom Properties only apply to the cards and tasks on the current board where they are created. This allows for different sets of Custom Properties on different team boards e.g. Sales board, Finance board or Operations boards.
